The Inventory Control Specialist will report to the Operations Supervisor and will be responsible for maintaining the inventory and spares program for Tesla Manufacturing’s Plant Operations department. This person will
Responsibilities
Works closely with Plant Operations teams to manage onsite inventory and spares both physically and through CMMS.
Responsible for performing/coordinating weekly cycle counts.
Works with Plant Operations maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to reconcile any inventory variances.
Perform kitting of work orders for maintenance.
Maintain accurate records of incoming/outgoing materials and equipment.
Work procurement and vendors to maintain adequate material levels to prevent shortages.
Coordinates with factory receiving sites for onsite deliveries.
Performs domestic and international shipping.
Receive purchase orders through CMMS.
Place purchase requests within our internal purchasing and financial system.
Maintain accurate records of all incoming/outgoing shipments.
Complies with all regulatory requirements in areas including safety, quality, and finance.
Maintains warehouse in a clean and orderly fashion.
Operates forklifts, hand lifts, and carts in loading/unloading items.
Performs all other jobs as required.
Requirements
3-5 years of experience in an inventory control, logistics and/or manufacturing position.
Good PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Sharepoint, etc).
Knowledge of ISO, GMP and familiarity with manufacturing assembly processes.
Ability to lift 30-50lbs on a daily basis.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must interface effectively and professionally with other internal functions.
