Business Operations Analyst, Vehicle Planning

The Role

The Vehicle Planning analyst will be responsible for project management of the manufacturing centers at the Tesla Factory in Fremont, CA. This includes managing the project from planning to launch of production, as well as drive Key Performance Indicators through the life of the product on an aggressive timeline. This role requires an exceptional capacity for cross-functional interaction and leadership.

Successful member of the team will be highly proactive and self-sufficient in pursuing improvement projects, be able to multitask and refocus efforts immediately to meet constantly shifting demands in a fast-paced environment and have exceptional organizational skills to coordinate changes with all affected teams.

Responsibilities

• Sustain aggressive continuous improvement plans to meet and exceed department KPI goals
• Manage cross-functional team to ensure successful launches of new product lines in Production control
• Oversee prioritization and resource allocation
• Understand how decisions in one area impact other departments and operational goals
• Track details and manage actions to closure
• Manage change control to ensure highest quality execution for sustained continuous improvement
• Provide direction for priorities and trial requirements
• Perform cost analyses to reduce product cost and manage inventory
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 3-5 yrs. Experience in Project Management fields
• Experience in Production/Manufacturing environment/ Supply chain management
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to multitask with a sense of urgency
• Can communicate with technical and non-technical team members effectively
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage large teams
• Works well under pressure and can manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Ability to adapt to changes quickly
